Matt:
How's the web head?
-
Reb:
Does Gwen die in one of these?
-
Reb:
I just want to know if I'm headed for a downward spiral of emotion before I start.
-
Matt:
No, I don't have that story. But it introduces Carly, who is a pretty interesting character. Btw Peter and MJ were married, but they recondite it, so now it's like Peter and her were engaged but never got married and broke it off.
-
Reb:
Okay. Who am I supposed to be loving here???
-
Matt:
Carly, she does roller derby!
-
Reb:
But does she make out with Peter Parker??
-
Matt:
All the time. He totally webs her brain out.
-
Reb:
Do not mock me.
-
Matt:
Just trust me, if you stick with Spider Island, you'll see a really sweet romantic story.
-
Reb:
IM A GIRL OKAY THAT STUFF IS IMPORTANT.
-
Matt:
ARACKNOJEEZE?
-
Matt:
Or the idea of eight appendages?
-
Reb:
Ew!!!
-
Matt:
You know you like it.
-
Matt:
*Sends a picture progress on his BATMAN premier costume*
-
Reb:
Dat luks sweet!!
-
Matt:
*Lists off all of his works friends going as characters that fit them like a damn glove, and I admittedly get really jealous because I am alone in the world and nobody is me.* Btw, your hair would work great for Carrie Kelly from the Dark Knight Returns.
-
Reb (happiest girl on earth):
The female robin. I feel as if I have a place in the world.
-
Matt:
She's not just the female Robin, she's the Robin in the best Batman Graphic novel ever written! And btw the big ugly glasses are awesome.
-
Reb:
I feel as if they're a feature that I definitely could live with. Could you help me with my costume because I feel like I have a reason to go to the premier now..
-
Matt:
Yeah, who are you going as?
-
Reb:
Carrie Kelly obviously since you're a genius.
-
Matt:
Really! I thought you'd hate that idea, but she does fit you! Borrow some elf shoes from dad. Then from there it's just dealing with farbrick.
-
Reb:
Frabric doesn't have a k. I actually really love the idea since she's essentially me only dressed up as Robin. I just didn't want to seem gay because I know I can get obsessed over these things.
-
Matt:
I kept thinking about who in the Batverse would fit you, and she kept popping up in my mind.
-
Matt:
For females, especially the heroes, there's a certain sex appeal before practicality, but Carrie is the direct opposite, because she's meant to point out and make fun of the old campy Robin, as well as put a twist of the stereotypical Batman and Robin having "relationships."
-
Matt:
In other words, she's different, but still important to the mythos.
-
Reb:
JUST LIKE ME
-
Reb:
NO SEX APPEAL WHATSOEVER
-
Matt:
To me, YES! NONE!
-
Reb:
To everyone ):
